This is the most important regional art gallery in Australia, and the first to be established. Its predominantly Australian collection includes drawings dating back to Captain Cook's first voyage to Australia. See the Colonial and Goldfields masterpieces and major works from the
Heidelberg school that make this one of the nation's top five collections of Australian art.

The Gallery is also home to the Eureka Flag which signifies independence and protest in the days of the goldrush and is one of the most significant cultural artefacts in the country.

Ballarat Fine Art Gallery is just one of over 40 attractions that make up the sightseeing pass known as the See Melbourne & Beyond Smartvisit Card. This smartcard allows you entry and special discounted offers to this attraction and many more.
