household effects which illustrate daily life in the late 19th century. The homestead garden is a fine example of a small Victorian style garden.
It retains its original geometric layout and original plantings are complemented by carefully reintroduced old varieties of perennials, bulbs, roses and fruit trees. This National Trust registered property also features traditional farm animals including Ayrshire cows, Berkshire pigs and Khaki-Campbell ducks as well as some now classified as rare breeds.
